WF Saxon #1 Washed

Used: P3 Armor Wash; P3 Flesh Wash; GW Seraphim Sepia.

Marked improvement.  Might want to go over it again with flesh wash.  I'm going back and forth on painting eyes.  I've done both with and without in this scale - if done poorly they look awful.  That said, might as well experiment with this figure or the spear thegn I have primed.

The GW sepia wash was used on all non-flesh and non-metal areas.  Gives a suitably dirty look.  I don't think it flows quite as well as the P3 washes, though.

The VMC Silver on the sword is too light.

A lot of stray brush strokes or paint runs.  A couple of missed areas.  Some mold lines (more apparent in first pic).  I intended to do the block painting  haphazardly, but I'm likely going to have to go back and make repairs.

The leather covering on the face of the shield was painted after the boss and rim.  Hard to see with the naked eye, but this pic shows that the metal got overpainted (sic).

iPhone pic, light directly above, against white paper.

Does this guy look like Ron Perlman?
